Problem Relocation

Background Information

You and your partner work for a small software company that is planning to move its headquarters to a different city in the United States. You have both been asked to investigate two different cities, Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina to see which city might be the best for relocation.

Relocating is extremely expensive, so it is important that the city you select can support your business and further growth of the company. You will also want to consider how expensive that city is to live in.

Pre-Task

Before you meet, you will need to research population, and economic information on each city to determine which might be best for your company to relocate to. You should spend only one hour doing this research.

Task

You will have 20 minutes to talk with your partner online to share information and to decide which of the two cities would be the best base for headquarters. After you have come to an agreement, send an email listing your reasons for chosing this city to totoro2@dolphin.upenn.edu.
